Sequel to my fic Boyfriend Material. Ice hockey AU.
Boston Brawlers goaltender Sherlock Holmes and his teammate, defenseman John Watson, came out as a couple during the national TV broadcast of their team's championship celebrations. John has retired from hockey due to a concussion he had promised himself and his sister would certainly be his last, and must redefine himself and figure out what comes next. Meantime, Sherlock's career appears to be peaking. With the burdens of success weighing on them both, the two attempt to master the long change in their first year as an official couple.

His eyes narrow as he gazes up at John, noting the residual tension in his shoulders, the dark circles under his lower lids, and the way he is avoiding Sherlock’s eyes like a bi-polarized magnet. Summary
“You’re a daft one,” says John, sitting up and pulling Sherlock towards him for a kiss, the smiling sort, Sherlock can tell. Sherlock resists, pulls up haughtily, barely able to keep the smile off his face as he tries to present a faux-insulted back.
He fails. John grabs him bodily and manhandles him easily so that Sherlock is flopped back against John’s front. “Me, John, daft?” he manages to say before they are both lost to the giggles and Sherlock never thought he could have this.
A moment with two men of note.

But that’s all a bit romantic, isn’t it?
On another topic, Sherlock and John find themselves faced with a series of seemingly disparate cases that are growing increasingly connected, increasingly personal. They must unravel the mystery laid before them by a particularly ruthless set of criminals before the danger is upon them, or else run the risk of being cleaved apart forever, lines scattered to the wind.
