Summary
3 years after the end of the Clone Wars. The Republic has survived. The Jedi Order, though scarred, is in a period of reconstruction and redefinition. With the war over, the Jedi are returning to their roots as peacekeepers, diplomats, and teachers. But scars from the war remain — both personal and political. Many new padawans are in need of Master's. The Jedi Council deliberates the Knights of the order to select their padawan's.

Works set in my AU where the Jedi manage to pass on a distrust of politicians to Anakin before Sheev Palpatine can get his hooks in. It changes a few things.

Summary
Nine year old Anakin recognizes Palpatine at Qui-Gon's funeral, having seen him at the slave markets on Tatooine and witnessed him using Force lightning. He of course relays this information to Obi-Wan, who, after having a panic attack, comes up with a plan that involves Padme, copious amounts of lying, several failed poisoning attempts (by Palpatine), cringeworthy codenames, a ridiculous sign language made up to humor his drama queen padawan, a secret wedding, at least one faked death, and the performance of a lifetime come Revenge of the Sith.
