Their marriage vows become official, and Henry reaches with shaking hands to rest atop Angela’s shoulders, leans in close to her, and presses a gentle, chaste kiss to her forehead, moving her hair out of the way with a terrified touch. He pretends to be embarrassed, overly conservative, hoping Angela’s parents won’t question it. From the reaction they give, Henry thinks they’ve bought it, but there’s no way of really telling. He kisses Angela’s forehead not to say I love you, but to tell her it’s okay.
She sighs in relief and falls into his shoulder, wrapping her arms around his waist.
Everyone sees it as a display of affection, an act of love. Henry knows better than to correct them.

Micah's plan was simple: become a royal guard, get into the palace, steal the medicine to save his sister, and get out. At no point during his mission did he intend to stay long enough to develop empathy for the prince, let alone befriend him. How exactly he managed to fall completely head over heels was beyond mortal comprehension.
