Summary
For Simon Fisher, a densely muscled Green Beret carrying the trauma of a dark doomsday past, the world is a hostile meat grinder. For Ryland Grace, a tall, quirky, fast-talking Army medic, it’s a numbers game of surviving a grueling deployment. What begins as a bitter, hostile clash quickly spirals into an intense, hyper-vigilant obsession. When Simon is medically discharged early, he retreats to a remote Virginia valley to cultivate a literal sanctuary in the soil. Left behind in the desert, Grace must hold the line against a ticking clock, relying on a shared promise and a silver cross to pull them both out of the dark.

Summary
Inspired by an AU comment from idgabuck's Tumblr, Selkie!Simon washes onto Grace's beach. Grace thinks he's somehow found a new human sixteen lightyears from Earth, Simon is terrified of being trapped without his cloak (again), and Rocky is his usual little shit self (Adrian isn't much better).
Now completed as of 9/28!
