If she opens the door, she should see him standing proudly in his brown coat and his beret, with a scarf wrapped around his neck. She should be able to look into his eyes, smile, and tell him they’ve won. That they’re the Imperial heroes they’ve always dreamt of being, and now, having claimed victory, they can go home and be together for the rest of their lives. They can put this Ghorman mess — and all the smaller messes it encompassed — behind them.

Oh, and on top of being a disabled veteran, Bucky is a professional catwalker. Literally.
