Summary
In unearthing the Nomu Factory, the Heroes and police of Japan discovered a body. This was not unexpected, but the nationality and uniform of the corpse in question… that was. Because this failed Nomu wore the uniform of Amestris, a war torn nation from the isolated continent of Atossa, where Quirks and modern electronics had never developed and never worked.
Edward Elric hoped he could retire from military service in peace, traveling Amestris while his brother Alphonse went to Xing. This is put on hold when now-Führer Mustang asks him to travel to the Outside, to the world beyond that was barricaded for centuries after the development of something called ‘Quirks’. A soldier has been killed and Amestris needs to know more about the Outside.
Or, Edward Elric and Amestris meet the world of Heroes and Villains.

Summary
Big business and big insurance infiltrate the hero world, stomping out the age of the solo hero. The Hero Commission pushes heroes to form official, well-rounded hero teams to reduce public safety risks. Those who don’t team-up face the risk of being a sidelined “free agent” who are viewed as walking liabilities rather than assets due to their high-insurance premiums. Not wanting to start their careers in active free fall in the ever-present and ever-toxic hero charts, Bakugo and Uraraka shock their former classmates by debuting as the pro hero duo: Kilonova.

Summary
The entire point of these charades was to create convincing backstories, ones that would hold up to the scratching of any devious investigative officials. Charles was adept at hiding money trails, creating fake profiles, but these days it was the ‘softer’ forms of identity creation that created a realistic-looking life.
At least, that was what Bran thought.

“Are they revoking my pardon?” Jinx asks bluntly, picking absently at her nail. Vi jerks in surprise.
“What? No,” she says, and before Ekko can ask some equally ridiculous question, she blurts, “Cait and I are gonna have a baby.”
Both Jinx and Ekko’s eyes go wide. Then-
“Congratulations!” Ekko exclaims, pulling her forward into an embrace. She pats him on the back, but she can’t help but watch as Jinx’s face goes through a series of emotions before settling firmly on shock.
Or: the news of a new addition to the Kiramman household brings up old feelings - and ghosts - for Jinx.
