Neteyam panted, the blood now dripping from his hand to the sand below. He waited for Aonung to say something, to yell back, to call him a freak, but instead he felt a pair of lips crash roughly into his own.
He inhaled sharply as Aonung gripped his face and pressed their mouths together. The kiss was desperate and messy. Aonung’s tongue poked at the bruise on his lip and Neteyam moaned against the sharp sensation, pressing himself further into Aonung’s touch. (CHAPTER EXCERPT)

District 12 seemed to be covered in a perpetual state of dirt and grime. No matter how many times Coriolanus washed his hands, a fine layer of dust still seemed to remain. But the Peacekeepers provided him with an order he didn’t know he craved. Rules and guidelines in the place of endless social games and judgmental stares. Plus, he got to eat. Every meal there was something. Something nutritious, sustaining, and even on occasion tasty.
And there was Sejanus. Sejanus from the Capitol, with his brown eyes and tan skin, head shaved the same way as Coriolanus’. Why the boy had followed him to 12, he didn’t know. But if this was the company that he was forced to keep, his life must have truly reached its lowest point.

“I don’t like this!” he said panicking, “Wake up, come on!” he shook her shoulders, desperate for some kind of sign she could hear him. He was about to yell again when her feet lifted off the ground.
He jerked back like he had been physically struck and he watched in silent horror as the girl in front of him began to float. Her body was completely limp, like a strung up doll that hovered above him. Those white cheer shoes, now hanging in the air. She looked more lifeless than ever.
Just as he was about to scream, let voice to the pure terror he was feeling. The music cut back in and Chrissy fell to the ground,(What might have happened, if Eddie had been able to save Chrissy that night.)
