Summary
The school algorithm is designed to assign pairs of peer tutors who are strong in different subjects and will be able to help each other with their homework. According to that algorithm, Tobey can help Becky with physics and Becky can help Tobey in English.
Becky thinks this is obnoxious and loathes the thought of having to go to these peer-tutor sessions.
Tobey, who has been crushing on Becky for the entire school year but has found it much more difficult to get her attention than WordGirl's, thinks this is the greatest thing that could have happened to him.

Summary
Tobey McCallister’s ten-year-long crush on WordGirl is stronger than ever, but as he’s grown, he’s claimed to have “put childish things behind him,” and yearns, instead, to devote himself to an all-consuming adoration of her. Every public appearance he makes is possessive, shameless, and verging on religious the way he poeticizes about His Dear WordGirl. Despite having dated at least five different girls, he’s told each of them, quite honestly, that he would absolutely leave them for his darling superheroine, if she wanted him to. It’s no wonder every relationship he’s been in lasted less than a month.
Becky Botsford, Student Body Treasurer, is forced to share the air with him per collaboration with the Robotics Club. She’s disgusted at her childhood friend—she imagines, if she ever dated him (thank God she isn’t), he’d do the same thing to her: settle to leave her for WordGirl—even though she *is* WordGirl. She’s embarrassed at his ignorance and lack of restraint… though she can’t help but admire his flowery language.
Could he love Becky, or would he rather abandon her? Could he ever abandon his unrequited love for WordGirl? Or… could he love both girls at the same time?
