“And you felt the need to track me down and show me this on a random Tuesday morning because...” Henry trails off with a perfectly arched brow. It’s infuriatingly attractive.
Alex braces himself on the table and leans in, stopping with his mouth an inch away from Henry’s ear. He can almost hear him holding his breath. “Because I want to take my time with you, sweetheart,” Alex whispers sweetly. “And this is the perfect opportunity.”

“You called her babe,” he muttered. James made a sort of confused noise against his neck.
“I did,” he murmured. He was quiet for a moment, like he was waiting for Regulus to say more, but he didn’t. He pulled back slightly. “Is… is that it?”
“I didn’t like it,” Regulus said like it was a warning.
“Oh?”
Regulus narrowed his eyes. “You did it on purpose,” he said, and it came out far more as an accusation than he intended, that same hot feeling from earlier surfacing again in his chest.
James didn’t answer, just breathed a laugh and sucked at the skin under Regulus’ ear. Regulus tensed his jaw a little, and with his free hand, he snaked his fingers up into James’ hair and pulled his head back a bit so they were looking at each other in the eyes. James’ ears were red and his eyes were half-lidded, almost dazed. He blinked at Regulus slowly.

And then you–” James took a long, shuddering breath. “You were in my spot.” He couldn’t help but laugh. It was a terrible sound.
“That’s why you said that,” Regulus breathed, and it was like it was punched out of him. “You… you were… I thought that was a joke.” His voice was thready. James still didn’t have the heart to look up at him. He felt like he wasn’t really there.
“Everyone did,” he shook his head. “It was always a joke.”

Summary
He doesn’t know what comes over him then. Or maybe he does. Either way, his body moves before his brain realizes what he’s doing, and Remus leans across the way, stretching his arm out, and knocks the fruit clean out of Sirius’ hand. It hits the ground with a soft thud, wobbling against the edge of the blanket, then slowly succumbing to the pull of gravity and tumbling down the gentle slope of the hill right towards the edge of the lake.
Sirius’ eyes follow it for all of a second before snapping back to Remus’ face, indignation written in the frown of his lips and the pinch of his brows.
A pendulous second passes. Two. Three. They both blink at each other, eyes owlish, dumbfounded. Sirius breaks the silence.
“Remus,” he starts, “what the bloody hell was-”
Remus kisses him.

He expects James to be off on his usual morning run through the city, but stops in his tracks at the sight of him leaning against the counter, arms crossed and a sly grin pulling at his lips.
“James,” Regulus says, voice surprisingly steady considering what’s in front of him, “what are you wearing?”

Logically, Henry should have known to expect this. He’s aware of how lacrosse works. Or, at least, he’s developed enough of an understanding of how lacrosse works through Alex. He’s seen photos of Alex in his lacrosse uniform before, and yet somehow that still doesn’t prepare him for the sight of seeing Alex actually playing lacrosse.
