    In LA there are fifty street blocks that shame the rest of the city. The place in downtown LA where the American Dream goes to die.

    One day a young runaway arrives looking for help and ends up one of the thousands of faces on the streets of Skid Row. Johnny discovers that the streets of LA are not kind to teenagers with nowhere else to go and turns to the worlds oldest profession in order to survive.

    A rookie cop starts his first day on the LAPD and heads out for patrol into the part of LA he had heard so much about, the place that was synonymous with human failure. Times passes and Daniel begins to discover that there is more to the people of Skid Row than his colleagues on the force led him to believe.

    When one day Daniel arrests a young prostitute, he gets more than he bargained for. From there a tentative and turbulent friendship with his high school rival grows.
