“Yeah. Those. Why are you using them?”
“Why am I- “ Zanka started. He then remembered he was raised with a modicum of manners and swallowed before continuing. “What does it look like I'm using them for?”

"Mate, you can tell us, whatever it is," he assures, when Harry has remained silent for a little too long. But Ron isn't being impatient, no, his tone is just steady, warm.
It gives Harry room to gather up more words, even if they're a prevaricating question,
"I- Promise you guys won't be mad? You shouldn't need to be but, uhm, it's gonna sound weird at first." Hermione is already nodding, gaze earnest,"Of course Harry!"
"I can try," Ron offers, eyebrows scrunching, but his smile is sheepish. It calms Harry down enough to laugh instead of worry more.
And, finally, he decides that he just needs to get this over with. He's started now, and he's a Gryffindor for a reason. (His lizard curls up beneath his collar, warm and not-solid but close enough.)
He doesn't want to be ashamed of finding a home this summer.
