It was an agonizing aftermath. They were almost deprived of supplies, medicine mostly. But their biggest hits was the amount of men lost in the ambush and the wounded leader. His throes of pain and suffering while the Medicus tend to his injury were horrifying. No one dared to visit the tent, none save a couple Primuses who prayed to the gods they believed or to whatever otherworldly power for the safety of their leader. Even should the man recovered from the ordeal, he's never the same again.
But was it all a shift from recent event? Or is it simply revealing the true man behind the perfect smile and calm demeanor? Saga doesn't know. He isn't sure if he wanted to find out either... The least he could do is to visit the man.

Summary
The first arc of the #RenegadesAU.
The Renegades is a series starring Zoticus Marinum (Male Xaela) and Saga Abumi (Male Raen). Two conscripts who first crossed path in the fateful meeting when Zoticus, a Tribunus of the VIIth Legion, came across a fellow Au Ra within the prison he was visiting. Saga Abumi hadn't expect to meet another conscript in his time within prison, he hadn't expect to live long as a death row inmate. Yet shortly after, the very man who gave him an unwanted attention ended up saving him from a cruel fate under the Empire.
Little does he know, he'll enter through a hell he could never escape from, nor does he want to.

Series of fics involving my WoL, Zahuke Oronir-Moks. Moksronir. Also known as Zuke Eagan, in "Eorzean Tongue" as the main claims it, when it's literally just a misspell and mispronunciation of his name. But does he care? No. It has a nice ring to it after all.
