But her father was against her choice, he told her that dreams won't feed her or keep her warm. So he arranged a marriage for her. Utahime refused and rebelled, she tried to convince her father to accept the choice of her heart.
Her father was firm with his decision, assuring her that he choose a good match for her, someone who will respect and take good care of her.
Seeing that the marriage day was getting closer and that her father wasn't changing his mind she decided to run away whit her lover. -

No arrow would find her so long as he was by her side, and he planned to be there far into future. For the rest of her life, in fact, until death parted them.
He was practically a god, after all. Mortality meant very little to him in the end.
