Summary
After months of missing Wei Wuxian during his disappearance, Lan Wangji and Jiang Cheng come across a masked being that claims to have found his dying body and eaten him whole. Then, it pledges to do the same to anyone Jiang Cheng calls an enemy as part of the deal it had struck with Wei Wuxian, in return for eating him whole.
Despite Lan Wangji's misgivings, Jiang Cheng takes it up on the offer and the Sunshot Campaign gains a terrible ally. Lan Wangji just prays it'll be worth whatever happens.

“M-mommy, do you think I can still be a hero even if…” Izuku choked on the end of his question.
“Izuku, can I tell you a secret?”
That distracted him. As distraught as he was, he was still only four. His internal world was still so malleable. He was the same age she’d been when the temple recruiters found her all those years ago. It was the perfect age, really.
Izuku used his shirt to blow his nose and nodded. He got out of the chair when she beckoned him over and crawled into her lap.
I always thought you’d take after your daddy.” Inko pressed a kiss into his soft curls. “I never thought you’d be like me .”
“What?” Izuku squinted at her, disbelieving.
She pushed his hair back from his face. “Mommy doesn’t have a quirk either.”
“You do so have a quirk! Mommy has Pull.”
Inko closed her eyes and looked within herself. Part of her was afraid that she’d let her connection go dormant, but the Force responded to her as eagerly as it ever had; maybe even moreso.
“No, baby.” She whispered into Izuku’s ear. “That’s just what I tell people.”

Nie Huaisang smacks him with his fan. "I told Da-ge before I left. I said 'I'm going to Yunmeng' and he said 'why' and I said 'I want the fried potatoes from there, I want to propose marriage to A-Cheng and I want to see the Blue heron migration this year.'"
Jiang Cheng snorts, abandoning his paperwork and resting his head on his hands to stare at Huaisang better. "And how did that go for you?"
"Oh he threw a plate at my head and said 'do it properly and make sure he agrees or I won't let you come back to Qinghe', which- stop laughing at me!"

One looks furious, one is smiling, and one has no facial expression at all.
After Wei Wuxian screams at A-Yuan, Wen Qing goes looking for more information on his childhood. Or qi deviation. Anything, really. She gets more help than she anticipated. Misunderstandings, shenanigans, and therapy ensue.
