His voice was quiet, yes, but so soothing that Reki couldn’t wait to hear him. Langa didn't smile often, but when he did, it was probably the most breathtaking sight Reki had ever been lucky enough to see. While a war between the Light Kingdom and the Dark Kingdom was brewing, Tsukasa Tenma from the White Knights, and Rui Kamishiro from the Imperial Soldiers would meet up everyday when the sun was setting.
A secret between two men from opposing kingdoms, while one hated the other’s guts, and the other wanted nothing more than the knight’s attention.
When Tsukasa says Rui would never matter to him, Rui starts making a plan to make the stoic knight like him, despite their differences and the war.

hi just wanted to say you should not misinterpret this as yan!rui and tsukasa being obsessed? its actually about rui becoming obsessed with the fact tsukasa looks at him differently than a monster, and that obsession softens into love and care, and he wants to prove to tsukasa that he can be good too, that hes not as bad as tsukasa thinks, i hope this helps...

tsukasa doesn’t even bat him an eye. “actually, it’s quite nice here in the shade.”
“come on, tsukasa-kun!” rui gathers two handfuls of pool water in the palms of his hands and swings it towards the lounge chair where tsukasa was once comfortably sitting on. the water lands on his knee with a splash. “i’ll stop bothering you after, pinky promise,” rui asks as politely as he can, blinking amiably as he waits.
tsukasa sighs, long and loudly, always so dramatically as he ignores his quickened heartbeat, “you never do, you know,” he grumbles under his breath, but he finally slots in his bookmark, puts the book down and sits upright.
