Finding out that Buck hooked up with Tommy the other night has filled Eddie with some kind of sick, possessive heat. It's thorny, jagged, edged like a knife, and it's been controlling most of his thoughts and actions for the last day and a half.

Summary
Buck had waited in the street, watching Eddie and Chris’s little dots in ‘Find My Friends’ grow closer and closer, bouncing on his feet like an over-eager puppy. He probably looked ridiculous, but the way Eddie ran toward him as soon as his truck was in park told him he had made the right call. He looked beautiful, his skin slightly more tanned from months in the Texas sun, the golden flecks of his eyes sparkling bright as he hugged Buck once again. It felt like home once more. Buck had waited for Eddie, the way he had waited for others. The only difference was that Eddie came back.

Summary
Eddie knows he shouldn’t be here, that it isn’t right for him to be lying on the bed where Buck should be sleeping.
Where is Buck, by the way? Shouldn’t he be here?
And why does Eddie feel … bigger? The sensation doubles when he shifts on his side, like there’s somehow more of him than when he went to sleep. His clothes feel different, the skin beneath them more sensitive. He shivers, goosebumps on his forearms which is weird because Eddie always runs hot.
It’s when he tries to stand up that he realizes.
Oh. So that’s where Buck is.
Eddie’s not just inside Buck’s bedroom.
He’s inside Buck.
Eddie and Buck swap bodies and get together. That's it. That's the fic.

Summary
“Bye,” Eddie mumbles distantly, and when Buck finally manages to open his eyes again, Eddie is halfway out the door already.
Puzzled, he just stands there, listens to the slam of the door and the starting of the truck outside, his mind spinning and his lips still tingling.
Eddie has just kissed him. Actually kissed him, like it was the most normal, casual thing in the world, like this was what they always do, a routine they follow, a dance they’ve learned.
Except it’s none of that.,or the one where Eddie and Buck live together, and things get out of hand.

Summary
He inspects the way Buck’s face sinks into his pillow, the way his thick arm rests over the comforter, hugging it to his body, the way his brow is still furrowed with tension.
God, he’s beautiful. Eddie shudders at the realization. It’s not like he had never given it a thought before, had never caught himself staring at Buck from across the room—but this is different. It’s not just admiration anymore. His heart warms in a way that makes him uncomfortable and unsure of what he’s feeling.
Subconsciously, he lets one hand reach out, thumb tenderly smoothing over the creases in Buck’s forehead. It’s almost casual, like it’s not a big deal. Like it’s just something he does, even though this moment is anything but casual.
Like he’s not blurring the lines of their relationship right now, like a wave washing over drawings in the sand.or the one where Eddie takes care of Buck when he's being plagued by a bad migraine.

Summary
But now Eddie is back, and Buck doesn’t need the bed. Doesn’t need to stuff his face into the pillow to smell the lingering remnants of Eddie’s scent; he can smell it now, just standing here, deep and forestry and enough to patch every hole in Buck’s chest. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t still want it, doesn’t wish desperately he could slide under the sheets and lay his head on top of Eddie’s beating heart.
Eddie comes home.
(or, after months of sleeping in Eddie’s bed alone, Buck finally gets to share.)

Summary
“Have you ever thought about changing your name?”
The room goes silent again. Ravi’s not too sure what compelled him to say that exactly, except the fact that there’s probably a carbon monoxide leak in the firehouse that only affects him. Symptom of concern: foot-in-mouth syndrome.
Buck blinks, finally looking at him. “What?”
Ravi shrugs. “If you don’t like your name, what’s stopping you from changing it? My sister did it. She didn’t have any other reason than not liking it.”
Huh. If he’s being honest, Buck hadn’t thought of that. He figured people only legally change their names for pressing reasons like getting married or going into witness protection, not because they want to. “I… I guess I could? Although Buck Buckley sounds kinda weird.”
A look of serious contemplation crosses Eddie’s face, a mix of doubt, hope, and something dangerously close to love. Buck doesn’t notice, too caught up in pondering his new idea, but everyone else can see it. That’s why no one is surprised when Eddie speaks up quietly, one hand sliding to Buck’s shoulder again, and says, “What about Buck Diaz?”

"I yelled at you," Eddie says finally, voice rough.
It’s not everything, not even close, but it’s the piece of it he can pull free.
Buck tilts his head, eyes narrowing slightly. “Yeah,” he says slowly. “You sure did.”

Summary
Buck scoffs. “You really think you could go longer than I could without--”
Eddie shakes his head in amusement. “Making a ‘deposit’?” he teases sarcastically, finishing Buck’s sentence when he awkwardly clams up. “Yes, with one hundred percent certainty.”
Buck’s eyebrows raise, his bright grin showing off a row of perfectly white teeth. “Oh, you wanna bet? Since you’re so confident.”
-----
Buck and Eddie challenge each other to see who can go the longest without an orgasm. Eddie’s pretty confident he can win.

Summary
Eddie’s breathing is deep and even, and his face is soft with the kind of peace Buck has only ever seen on him when he’s asleep. He looks so young like this, unburdened. Buck wants to make sure it’s like this all the time. The blankets are pushed down just enough to reveal the curve of Eddie’s shoulder and the softness of his chest, the warm tan of his skin touched faintly by the pale glow of the streetlight sneaking through the curtains.
It's angelic— otherworldly. Heavenly. He doesn’t think the words in his vocabulary are enough to describe it.

Summary
Eddie thinks about it, sometimes, showing up to the 118 and forcing Buck to deal with him. Maybe it would’ve played out the same way, Buck all huffing-mad at him and Eddie trying to figure out how to work with him without stepping on his tail. Eddie didn’t go back, because the 118 was Buck’s first.
Buck returns to Los Angeles; Eddie follows, like an echo of years before.

Summary
There are always open spots for firefighters, but across the El Paso Fire Department, there wasn’t a shift or station that had two empty spaces. Instead, Buck is at Station 14, takes A-shift; Eddie’s at Station 9, takes B-shift. Their schedules are off-kilter. In the two weeks they’ve been living in El Paso, Buck’s only seen Eddie for a couple hours on their shared day off. It’s been a struggle, he’ll admit that. He’s gone from seeing Eddie nearly every day to catching glimpses of him, like they’re roommates on disjointed schedules.
Buck misses him.
Eddie moves to Texas; Buck follows, miserably.

Summary
There’s a long pause before Buck answers. “Yeah, I do,” he says. “I felt alone for the first twenty something years of my life.”
“What about now?” Eddie asks, and he’s not even quite sure what he means. What about now, right in this moment? or what about now, now that I’m gone?
Buck chooses to answer the former. “I’m never lonely when I’m with you,” he says simply, softly.

“Buck, no one was calling for you!” he shouts, exasperated. Buck ignores him and bounds up the stairs.
