He stood at the bow of the ship, the wind pushing his hair off his freckled face and sighed, allowing himself to ignore all his usually overwhelming failings for a moment.
He was on the ship. He was getting away. Away from it all.
Away from his fathers raised voice and looming fists.
Away from the open books of illegible scribbled lines littering his floors.
This was different than before, this time he was starting a new life away from his father and what life was like for him there, things would be different now.
