Summary
Just as well, Rand had figured as he lit up a cig, sitting in his stuffy car in the school parking lot, Led Zeppelin cassette buzzing quietly from the shitty speakers. He turned the volume knob up ever so slightly as Kashmir started playing, bobbing his head to the sound as he hyped himself up for his graduation. He knew most of the people he grew up with would be long gone soon; any person looking to do anything with their life would leave as soon as they could so as not to get stuck in the factories nearby. He might as well start learning how to do shit on his own sooner rather than later.

Taxi’s head tilted to the side, and Br’aad followed the way his eyes swept over his face, studying him. Br’aad could feel his cheeks warming, and hoped it could be explained away by the heat of the crowded dance floor.
“It’s more fun with you here dancing.” Taxi finally said, his eyes finally having stopped roaming, looking back directly into Br’aad’s, a small smirk flitting across his face.

Summary
Gillion had always been good with feelings. Okay, maybe not actually feeling them. But managing them, getting them out of the way when they weren’t helpful, that was what he did best. Well, generally, that was what he did best. Currently, he was struggling at that.
