Summary
‘All was well.
When you next looked up, something had changed. Nothing you could really put your finger
on, yet you swore you’d never seen those eerily shaped rock formations before. In your
peripherals, they seemed to beckon to you like crooked fingers. All was not well.’
It all begins with the fatal blunder of your supervisor. One signature, and your lab seals its doom: working with Valentine Corporations to procure and monitor ground samples from the Arizona Desert. As the resident odd-job and ill-fated intern, you’re tasked with the crucial task of procuring this dirt.
But when you stumble onto the Big, Bad, Devil’s Palm, it proves to be a more terrible error than the deal with Valentine Corporations - you’ve now an odd pocket watch and floating head to deal with, and this definitely isn’t the right century (or aeon, really)…
AKA
You get punted into oblivion (or in this case, the 19th century) to fix the screw-ups in the timeline (not clickbait).

You are the best archeologist the Speedwagon Foundation has ever hired. But you know that your intelligence and capacity are not the attributes that keep you in this very important position in the company. And your salary? It's not enough to pay to fix your Cadillac.
The last few months have been summed up in tracking eccentric phenomena of nature; as well as weekly receiving a batch of corpses hundreds of years old to analyze and deliver them to other departments of the Speedwagon Foundation. But the reasons for such an arduous and unique investment in research of Incorruptibility are still a mystery to you.

Ever since you’ve been a child, you’ve always wanted to become a famous writer. To become one, you need to find something to start with.
It’s no wonder Steel Ball Run, a long and wild race across the country immediately caught your eye. Not only had you picked up horseback riding, you’ve got the spirit to break glass ceilings in your way.
But unfortunately, turns out things aren’t so easy for a woman trying to make history. And what makes things even worse is that you may or may not have wrapped yourself into a conspiracy involving the President of the United States…and corpse parts. Can’t catch a break, can you?

Giveaway Request for @delicioustar who had a very specific prompt that I hope I managed to fulfill!
“Don’t tell me you’re not interested.”
“I’m… I’m not,” you said, “that was all a lie. I was only ever pretending so I could…” You trailed off as you realized something. He didn’t care. You weren’t even sure if he was listening. “I hate you.”
“What’s that got to do with anything?” Toji asked.

Summary
All you could think was that it sounded like he was jealous. And that was ridiculous. Why would he feel jealous? The two of you were just friends. But something about this scenario spoke to more than that. Just friends didn’t talk like this. Just friends didn’t invite themselves into your dorm on the wrong side of midnight. Just friends didn’t squirm with discomfort because of the tingling, hot tension generated between the two of you in the too-small space of your room.
