Kai has been in this stupid, monster infested land for so long he feels like hes losing it.
After discovering that being in that egg after his first encounter with the centipede leaves him not so human anymore, hes going to learn how to adjust to life as a not so human.
How will his family react? How will he push through the new trauma the Land of Monsters gave him?

Summary
When the Ninja head into Kai and Nya's old village Kai keeps his head down to not be recognized (Unlike Nya, who never interacted with the village) but when at a pub and in need of a distraction, Kai has to step in and delve back into his old past times that he had hoped would stay in his past.
Or!
Kai used to be in a band at a pub. He hasn't talked about it but now they're at said pub, and in need of a distraction, what better distraction than himself? He wasn’t really ready to give a performance though (He still aced it despite that!)
(The ninja, except for Kai, don't actually remember that Kai and Nya lived there/They only remember the blacksmith and not the town or its name since it's kinda apart.)

Summary
He doesn’t know when Joker appeared, or rather more honestly: he doesn’t remember when Joker became someone different from him.
It scares him, sometimes, to have a part of himself feel so close and yet so far away; he scrambles onto the pieces that connect him and Joker and try to find a middle ground, as if there is an explanation for the vast differences that separates the real world him and the Metaverse him.
(or alternatively: Akira Kurusu tries to put the puzzle pieces of himself together and learns that coping mechanisms aren't always healthy.)
