But when James Potter, his brother’s best friend, who he’s just moved in with, chooses him to be a subject to his flirtatious whims, how will he act? Especially considering the disastrously real feelings he has for the Gryffindor Golden boy, which James clearly does not reciprocate. Well, at least that’s what Regulus thinks.

Summary
As Sirius pulled away from the hug, he looked deep into his best friend’s eyes. They were filled with nothing but concern. A concern so genuinely deep, it would have instantly erased any doubt about the sincerity of James’ love for Regulus from Sirius’ mind, had he still had any.
“Sirius,” James asked, “what’s wrong with Regulus?”
James’ voice was so quiet, so small, as if he didn’t really want to voice the question out loud in fear of the answer.
“He hasn’t left his room. In, like, days, I think. I don’t think he’s been eating”, Sirius began. “I heard him walking around in there a couple of hours ago, though”, he quickly added, upon seeing the look of terror, which had immediately manifested itself on James’ face. Sirius knew exactly what kind of thought had caused that look.

Basically, Regulus is severly depressed and James (being the best boyfriend he is) comforts him.

Summary
In a fit of terror and rage, Regulus has murdered his mother. With her blood pooling around his feet, there is nothing left to do but wait for the authorities to take him away. Azkaban will be cold. He isn’t looking forward to it but he has no choice in the matter. There is no fight left in him.
As usual, Sirius disagrees, and it is this stubbornness that urges him to do something drastic in the hopes of keeping his baby brother safe.
