Percy looked up, a bit surprised. “Already? You sure you don’t want to stay longer?”
Annabeth smiled, feeling a bit conflicted. “I have to get some of my own work done but I’ll see you at school.”
“Okay then I’ll see you tomorrow.” He leaned in to give Annabeth a hug. She was a bit surprised by the gesture. She hesitated but then wrapped her arms around him tightly. She could feel the warmth and sincerity in his embrace, which made her heart flutter a bit.
As they pulled away, Percy gave her a soft smile. “Thanks for coming over today. It really means a lot.”
