Dorian Pavus escapes one of his father's many attempts to bend his son to his will. In response, Halward Pavus does what any evil Tevinter Magister would do; he hires a gang of mercenaries to track Dorian down, bring him home, and break him of his unacceptable urges.
This is a pre-canon au where Dorian and Bull meet before the events if DA:I.
p.s. the title doesn't have much to do with the story, but someone once said Dorian is the Thedas version of Freddie Mercury and now I can't unsee it :) Plus, the existential angst of the song seemed to fit
