Things kept replaying in his head, things that he just wanted to go away. There was one point where Ben was sure that he just passed out from exhaustion, he was woken up again when his phone lit up from a message. He prayed to God that it wasn’t his mother.

Maybe it was a dick pic. Despite his better knowledge, Ben started typing in the password to his phone to see what was sent to him. Maybe it would be a bit of temporary amusement. Ben stared at the image for a minute.
He had to admit that he wasn’t expecting an FBI meme. It was a simple google screen with the search bar, “why am i always so sad and anxious?” And a text notification from the FBI saying, “hang in there buddy”.

Rey's thrilled that Finn and Rose are dating and that they're going out to California to spend Thanksgiving with Rose's family. Really. But being alone again for the holiday is bringing up a lot more insecurities than she wants to think about, which leads to the internet and alcohol and poor decisions all around.
And somehow a late-night Craigslist ad ends up with her agreeing to crash some asshole's family dinner. At the very least, she's curious what kind of people name their son "Kylo Ren" anyway.

Rey enjoyed working at Hoth’s Ice Crème Shoppe. She loved the guaranteed relief from the heat every day that she worked and the unlimited supply of free ice cream. She loved Maz and Finn and Poe and the giant, plastic ice cream sundae bench that sat outside the front window of the shop. She even loved the stray orange cat, which they had ceremoniously named BeeBee, that waited at the back door most nights for scraps of food.
Rey, however, did not love working with Ben Solo.
