Harry had never run faster in his life. He wasn’t thinking; his mind was stuck in a loop. Get out, get out, get out. He sprinted down the street. He needed help — he needed help now. He barely made the curve.
Everyone he knew would send him back here if Dumbledore asked them to. The thought was there before he could stop it.
Not the Order.
His feet hurt from how hard they were hitting the ground. His thoughts lagged behind, chasing him too. He didn’t slow down to let them catch up.

One evening, Vernon goes too far.
Harry runs.
He knows he can’t ask the people he knows for help — not about this.
So he runs to the one person he knows would never, under any circumstances, send him back to Dumbledore.

Summary
The abuse from the Dursleys went to far that summer, Harry returned to school quiet and solemn. His friends to caught up in themselves didn't notice.
Feeling alone and hurt, Harry hides himself away.
In the meantime Voldemort resurrected and mentally sound begins to start his war again, to bring the magical world back to where it should be.
Snape as usual finds himself between two choices, protecting Lily's son and his vow to her and his obedience to the Dark Lord.
With the help of his friends the Malfoy's can Severus give Harry the home he deserved from the start.No SMUT.

Summary
Severus Snape didn't know what was going on with Harry Potter. One minute he was having a seizure and spending the night in the Infirmary, and the next he was gone. Three weeks later, he witnesses the boy miraculously reappear and slay the Dark Lord. Now he's sitting in Albus Dumbledore's office listening to the boy claim that he's from the future and the Master of Death while Voldemort's corpse hovers beside them. Potter has changed and Severus finds himself landed with a boy who isn't the same irritating brat that he once knew.
This was originally titled The Potion Master's Apprentice, written by Athy and abandoned, up for adoption. She has kindly allowed me to take her beautiful idea into my own hands to do with it as I will. It is still here on AO3 and you should go read it. I've used many of her words, her original concept, and then put my own twist on it. Thank you so much for letting me adopt your story.
