That last line gave Harry pause. The chance to save all those lost during the second wizarding war? To save those he failed to save last time? Amos could get his son back, Ron and Ginny could get their brother back, he could get his godfather back.
This was a once in a lifetime opportunity. He had to take it.
“I accept.” He told the void.
“Very well. The next time you wake up, you will be ten years old once more. You will live the seven years, however you will cause ripple effects with every different choice you make. I look forward to seeing how things change. Good luck Harry Potter.”

He would have kept it that way, too If he hadn’t burned himself out saving the world. If he hadn’t collapsed hard enough that everyone finally had to look.
Now Bruce and Clark are hovering like they never spent nearly two years avoiding him. Acting like this is their burden to carry, like they didn’t already decide, once, that letting him go was easier than staying.

Slight AU of canon- two pivotal events are different:
1)Lily and James really are flirting in the scene where Snape is hanging upside-down.
2)Snape dies in the Shrieking Shack before he can give his memories to Harry, so Harry never walks to his death a willing sacrifice and dies trying his best to take Voldemort with him. He fails to do so. Harry did collect all the 3 Hallows and is still Master of Death, though. He and Lady Magic convince Death to send Snape back to 1976 to right what went wrong.The rest of the changes are through Snape's (and sometimes Harry's or others) actions as this story diverges very quickly from canon.

His blindness.
Trying to ignore the unpleasant returning tension in his chest, Light tightened his grip on Winston’s harness. He was going to meet L again, after so many years…He didn’t know what he even hoped for.
For the detective to recognize him or treat him like a complete stranger. Whatever happened, he would just have to wait and see.
