The letter had arrived two days ago and Sidney was still trying to comprehend its contents. The news contained within had both grieved him and vexed him in equal measure, so much so that he had struggled to compose a reply, for what response could he make to such a letter?
This fanfic follows the story of Sanditon but with a twist. AU, Modern, Steamy little story about Charlotte Heywood and Sidney Parker. For all of Charlotte's teenage years she's had a crush on Sidney Parker who worked for her father on his horse ranch. He's treated her like a kid since he's five years older than her. That changed when she turned eighteen and he finally gave in to all the flirting. Only it's not exactly how she pictured it would go. Now, four years later, she has inherited her father's horse ranch and she is forced back into the life she left behind.
Lots of sex, lots of fighting, could be seen as quite aggressive at times, and Sidney will be looked at as a douche, I'm sure.

A modern day version of Sanditon. I'm going to try and stick to the storyline of the tv series as much as I can with modern variations. Things may not all happen in the correct order but hopefully it will turn out okay.
Yes it's a fanfic but I decided part way in I wanted this story to be more real and develop the issues I had mentioned, and see how two people can still find love and strength together.
Charlotte reveals through the story she has been involved in an emotional trauma for years by her father belittling her and that she was never good enough. After a visit to the farm, this forces her to confront all the years of holding it in, and it begins to affect her life as all of these put downs resurface. I've tried to write this as real as I can. It's a story of finding love and support through painful emotional trauma. Hope that explains it briefly.
