Summary
The story picks up where the first season ended. Broken hearted, Charlotte and Sidney part ways. However, a month into their separation, Mary Parker takes ill. Charlotte comes back to Sanditon to care of the children. Sidney, wanting to help his brother, and escape the wedding plans for the unnecessarily large wedding, returns as well. They are forced into awkward civility, while wishing things were different. Will fate leave them cruelly apart or will the stars align and let them be together.

After reading the details about Sidney's fate in S2 EP01, I just couldn't stop myself. I was sick and at home, so I grabbed my laptop and started to write. I wanted to show that there is STILL a way to get it right and fix their story.
At first I planned a short story of about three chapters, but the characters have taken on a life of their own, so... well, it's still going on.

This story is a Regency fantasy with magic and mystery. Charlotte is a healer and her family is a little more well-to-do than in the show. Sidney is a former cavalry officer. Since it’s a fantasy, it’s not historically accurate, though I have researched some aspects of history regarding the cavalry, building-making, and use of herbs in healing. It’s primarily fantasy genre healing, so it's not medically accurate for the most part, and I go into complete flights of fancy regarding herbology and medical practices for Charlotte’s work.
Warning: There are fights, nothing over-done, but there is violence in the course of the story. Sidney Parker is a former cavalry officer and there are emotional themes of war wounds and PTSD. I've rated it mature, though I wasn't completely certain regarding its rating. I don't get too gory or overly graphic, though there are some intense scenes typical of fantasy.
