Summary
After a rainy night, Jacob begins to fear that he is being watched. In addition, he sometimes hears strange noises in the basement of his house. With night after night, he begins to lose hope that it is just simple paranoia. Medication does not provide a permanent solution, nor does trying to forget every morning the events of yesterday. Fear takes over his life and the faint but steady danger follows him wherever he goes.
He no longer knows whether he is losing his mind or does not want to admit that someone is following him closely and that, curiously enough, he looks eerily similar to himself.
Luckily for him, immersing himself in old memories soothes him at night, but it is a fleeting relief and forces him to admit that nothing in his past was as good as he wants to make it out to be.

Después de una noche lluviosa, Jacob comienza a sospechar que está siendo vigilado. Además, que a veces logra escuchar ruidos extraños en el sótano de su casa. Con noche a noche comienza a perder la esperanza de solo ser simple paranoia. Los medicamentos no proporcionan una solución permanente, ni tratar de olvidar cada mañana los acontecimientos del ayer. El miedo se apropia de su vida y el peligro tenue, pero firme que lo sigue a cualquier lugar al que vaya.
Ya no sabe si está perdiendo la cabeza o no quiere admitir que alguien lo sigue desde cerca y que, curiosamente, tiene una apariencia inquietantemente parecida a sí mismo.
Para su suerte, sumergirse en viejos recuerdos lo tranquiliza por las noches, pero es un alivio fugaz y lo obligan a admitir que nada en su pasado fue tan bueno como él lo quiere hacer pasar.
