Summary
Phoenix Wright has a secret. He can hide it from the world, but he can’t hide it from himself. At least, not anymore. When stumbling over one old memory digs up one after another, the dominos fall and he finds himself in a place where he hasn’t been in many years, in more ways than one. Here, in the deepest chasm of his soul, he must go face-to-face with something that he has avoided for a long, long time.
(Full synopsis in initial author's note).
Dedicated to WingSongHalo for starting me on the path of fanfiction-writing by showing me, through the writer’s art, what fanfiction really is and what it can be.
This story is also dedicated to the memory of Marcel Dupré: a French organist, composer, and music teacher, whose work and aspects of his life greatly influenced this piece.

Summary
'The front end was crushed, the tree directly in the middle, making what looked like an incredibly morbid sandwich. All of the windows were shattered, scattering broken glass around the scene, and a deflated airbag that had made its way through the windshield flew up and down in the wind like a vengeful ghost. The smell of smoke was drifting faintly around the car, but it had mostly cleared up, which was both a relief and a terrifying indication that the car had, in fact, been there since the earthquake.'
-----------
Or: An earthquake-induced flashback causes Miles Edgeworth to run his car into a tree. Unsurprisingly, this creates a few problems.
