Summary
Bruce frowns, sucking his lower lip into his mouth in thought. Hal doesn’t even think before reaching his thumb out to stop him when he starts to chew off the skin, but Bruce’s eyes shoot open the moment he does it, darting up to Hal’s face. He aims to move his hand away, but before he manages, Bruce wraps his lips around the tip of Hal’s thumb, lifting his head a little to take the digit into his mouth.
“Oh,” Hal breathes, his heart rabbiting in his chest. “You need something to keep your mouth busy, Spooky?”

Summary
Hal has a little secret. He doesn't think Batman's a bore, yet thinks that Bruce Wayne is a mystery.
Bruce is something akin to a performance of careless charm and a sharp intelligence that Hal is determine to figure out.
It starts out small really-a cup of coffee delivered with a smooth tease of "Looking a bit too dead there Spooky" and a satisfaction of watching the Dark Knight actually take a sip out of said cup. Months of effort and shared secrets disguised as routine slowly chip away at the carefully curated personality of the man that is Batman. Hal is patient- he is quite literally the embodiment of pure will.
But the real breakthrough doesn't come during a world ending crisis. It happens after a grueling League meeting, when the Bat finally runs out of steam. He doesn't collapse from a villain's blow, but from the invisible, grinding weight of his own masks. When Hal gently removes the cowl from the barely conscious man, he realizes that he's finally seeing the real guy.
Now, Hal Jordan finds himself guarding the most vulnerable man in the world. He is certain of one thing: he's not leaving until the man behind the cowl wakes up.

Summary
Hal was angry about many things today: an alien invasion happening while breakfast-in-bed rituals were being enjoyed, Bruce knowing his Lantern ring's size like the freak that he is, and the fact that all of this was happening while he was wearing pink flannel pajamas under his uniform, and his breath still smelled like barely-10-second mouthwash about 2-hours into the fighting and the rescuing.
Bruce apparently think it's the most romantic thing they could be doing...
...that fucking loser.
