Keith tightened his hand on Lance, pulling him back into his side, hand large and possessive on Lance’s side.
It made Lance… warm. Made him feel — for lack of a better word — like a princess. Like the fairytale stories Lance had grown up on, with the dashing prince and the damsel in the tower.
Lance wasn’t exactly the damsel in the tower; he was, obviously, a knight himself. He was strong, capable, with a gun on his hip and blood on his hands. But Keith dressed him in gold, bought him jewellery and kissed his wrists, his fingers. Keith held him in front of everyone and touched him with reverence. Cradled Lance’s face and called him beautiful, perfect, lovely. His sweetheart. His angel. His heart, walking around.

Alternatively, Keith looks good in armour. Lance falls even further.

Lance's heart stopped.
Did he hear Hunk right? He has to do seven minutes in heaven with Keith? Keith? But oh God did he want to. He really wanted to. But him having actual feelings for him wasn't fair for Keith. He couldn't do that… What if it harmed the team?
"Okay. Let's go." Keith stood up, motioning for Lance to follow him.
"Wait what?" Lance's eyes widened.
Keith glanced back at him, "Just follow me." And Lance did because he couldn't say no to Keith. God dammit.

Keith turns to Lance, fed up with the situation already, “You’re so obsessed with telling everyone how good of a top you are, it looks like you’re desperate to convince them.”
Lance’s smile twitched at the corners, enough for Keith to notice his words had stung. He could see Lance’s ears burning even through the dim lighting, his shoulders were tense, but he tried to stand his ground and look unaffected.
“You think I can’t top you, is that it?” Lance tilted his head, taking a step forward as well, “I’d like to see you try to top me.”
Keith tries with all his might to keep his laughter in. God grant him strength. He looks at Lance carefully, his eyes are even prettier when they’re desperate.
“Sorry McClain, I’m not interested in fucking brats.”
—A story in which Keith, in fact, fucks the brat. Just to prove something.
