Whoever had come up with the saying, love conquers all, was a fucking idiot, Satoru decided as he stared across the busy street to his friend, his lover. Hair long and loose as he kept his back turned throughout the entire conversation. Love fixed fuck all. He was furious, he was heartbroken, he hated that there was a part of him that understood it all completely, but Suguru was going where he couldn’t follow. He was slipping though his fingers like grains of sand, and all the love in the world couldn’t fix that. Not when it was love that had started it all. He’d tried, god he had tried. Tried to fix it all, to hold Suguru though it and pull him out the other side as whole as possible. And still here they were, 20 feet and a million miles apart as Suguru walked away from him.

Satoru knew something was wrong. It was hard not to. Even without six eyes he could see how worn out Suguru was. The ever deepening dark circles under his eyes, the weight loss and limp hair. Even if he hadn't been able to see any of it, it still would have been hard to miss. Suguru had never been an overly outgoing guy, but now he was straight up withdrawn. They'd gone from talking every day and hanging out, to only really seeing each other in classes, to now this? Sure, they were both busy, but Suguru wasn't even answering his texts anymore.

‘For what?’ Satoru slips his hands between the gaps in Suguru’s hakama, sliding his fingers over his ass. ‘For letting another man touch you?’ he growls. ‘Hurt you?’ It draws a hiss from Suguru when he squeezes, sinking his claws in deep. ‘Fill you up with his cursed energy?’
Satoru grazes his teeth along the line of his jaw, waits for Suguru to bare his throat to him.
‘Tsk, of course I’m not punishing you.’ He withdraws his hands, lips twitching as Suguru rushes to steady himself. ‘What kind of asshole do you take me for?’ Satoru asks, gloating over the sight of his flushed face falling in the moment before he fixes it. ‘I’m going to finish Suguru’s tattoo.’
