“I’m leaving,” Buck started, cautiously. May and Athena blinked at him, confused. Hen and Chim looked a bit less confused but still confused. They knew that Buck was leaving the 118, but not the damn city. “You may want to sit down for this.”
The four sat down at the island chairs (they came with the apartment, so they’d be left with the apartment). Iceman let out a yawn and went to lean against the wall, still sticking close to Buck should he need help. Buck stood in front of Athena, May, Hen and Chimney and rubbed his hands together. “Alright. Okay. Um, so I’m actually in the Navy?” ]

Summary
Taps is a bugle call used by the Army and the Navy to signal lights out and at funerals. There are no official lyrics for Taps, but many verses have been written for the tune.
Buck has not been having a good time. He's had three near-death experiences in less than a year, his found family has turned out not to need him as much as he needed them, and he's just come from a funeral, and he can't drink away the feelings with everyone else because of the blood thinners. To make matters worse, while picking up some last-minute supplies for the celebration of life, he runs into the 118.
He does not have the mental fortitude to deal with them.
Good thing his partner, Sarah "Buzzkill" Vaughn, has his back.
