Really, he'd been doomed since the start.
He told himself he still had control, he could tell ortho this was bad whenever he wanted. He'd tell him this was all wrong, that everything had just been a twisted sense of brotherly love,that he could never see him as anything more but his adorable baby brother. He'd tell him and ortho would get over him, he'd find a beautiful lady to court and they'd have a litter of equally as beautiful kids who'd they'd raise in a big house in a sunny suburb. Away from the expectation that the name “shroud” held. Idia would stay away from him. He'd be strong. He'd live the boring life that was destined for him before he was even born. All for ortho, all for ortho's safety, for ortho's happiness.
