Summary
Hecate Hardbroom thought that her summer would be time dedicated to her craft as a potion expert and no students to interfere with that. Of course, though she was wrong in assuming that's what she would get, as a Mildred Hubble appears in the dead of night weeping about a broken arm and a dead mother. It is up to Miss Hardbroom to look after her, and become her guardian for the time being. The only thing is can she do it alone? Pippa Pentangle keeps reminding her it takes a coven of witches to raise a child.

Summary
After Harry talks to a snake during Dudley’s eleventh birthday Hogwarts is the first to hear of it. After Harry does not respond to any of the letters that have been sent they send in Severus Snape to pick up the child and bring him back to school. After being sorted into Slytherin Snape tries to care for Harry and help him but Harry continues to be terrified of the man. He can’t seem to figure out why.

Harry gets sorted into Slytherin and after trail and error Snape figures out that Harry has been severely abused. Eventually he is adopted.

Summary
