Summary
As Hawks sat in the back of the League of Villain’s van, wings uncomfortably trapped between himself and the backrest of his seat, he was vividly reminded of just how much he hated cars and why he avoided riding in them at all costs.
The league was planning to gather intelligence (read: steal files) from a commission-owned building. What they wanted them for, he hadn’t been told, but as their mole in the system, he was needed to guide them through the building.
The ride there was going to be a little over five hours, which were quickly shaping up to be the worst hours of his life.

Summary
Hawks did move too fast. It was always one thing right after the other, and if something didn’t fit into his plans they would have to wait until his plans were complete. That said, there was no room for using the bathroom between getting ready and not being late to work, there was no room between talking to his agents on the night shift and conversing with his superiors, there was no room between fights and crimes stopped. They hadn’t gone for a lunch break yet and Hawks was not about to be the one to bring anything up, especially not when they’d been on a wild goose chase for half the morning and every so often Hawks started to think that maybe they’d actually gotten closer to anything of any relevance. False alarms and red herrings, mostly.
But all vendettas come to a close.

“Ah, Endeavor-san, any chance you could speed things up?” As Enji glanced down at his boy, he had to school his reaction into one of feigned disinterest, despite the idea which popped into his head.
Hawks’ cheeks were dusted with a light pink, the only outward tell of any discomfort the younger hero was feeling. The rest of the paperwork could take another thirty minutes, forty-five if Enji stretched it out, he could see how desperate Hawks could get during that stretch of time.
“No, you’ve distracted me enough tonight. You’ll stay like that until I am finished, and then I will let you up.”
