Summary
Looking back, it would be quite a fitting end. The rubbles of a castle that has no meaning to herself. Looming over and threatening to crush her as she lies under it. One flick of her wrist would make all the difference between her life and death.Wanda expected death to take her when she toppled the mountain over her, prayed for it even. She wanted nothing more than to redeem herself from her horrendous actions. She called for death as quickly as it took her loved ones away.
However, death does not respond.
Time did.

In which Wanda's magic made her travel back in time. (Because, holy shit, her life is tragic. And who am I not to try and fix it?)

Summary

It was highly unlikely- unheard of, even. A woman could not do such things with such aggression. A Romanoff could be nothing but a cowardly lowlife (at least in his opinion). However, there it was: clear as day.
Natasha Romanoff, a smoking six gun in her hands, and Kazimierz Kazimierczak, dead where he lay. Well, this changes things.
Dreykov let out an uncharacteristic laugh, and smiled the smile of a contented fiend. A plan had formed. He’d have his way with their wretched clan, at last.

“Aw, hell.” Steve let out, reading the headline as he walked through the door. He threw the newspaper down at Natasha’s feet on the coffee table. The redhead suppressed a chuckle.
“Language, golden boy!” Natasha teased, puffing a bit of smoke and grabbing for the parchment. Her face fell.
Germany Invades Poland! War begins!
“Aw, hell…”
__________November of 1948: Lower Manhattan, NY
“Is he…”
“Yours?”
“Shit, I didn’t mean to assume. I shouldn’t have asked. I’m sorry, it’s not my busine-”
“His full name is Nathaniel Erik Romanov.”
“Oh.”
Natasha Romanov would do a lot of things differently if she could. For one, she probably would have never enlisted. She never would've left that sweet girl crying in her window all those years ago. But mostly, she should've been there for Wanda. Now, though? Staring down at a pair of eyes she never thought she’d see again, just on the face of a child that was otherwise her own mirror image? This could be her second chance- nearly a decade later.
