He hears Ian's sharp intake of breath as their eyes meet, sees the way they widen and how his mouth falls open slightly. He looks…shocked? Mickey isn't looking too hard, to be honest, strangely nervous under his husband's gaze in a way he hasn't been in a long time. What's Ian thinking about? Does he like it? Does he hate it? Fuck, Mickey's turning into a fifteen year-old girl, what the hell.
Franny, on her part, doesn't seem to notice the strange atmosphere. She just sits down by her makeup box and starts talking about the different kinds of makeup she wanted to put on Mickey's face, but couldn't, and how she really, really wants to try putting makeup on Debbie when she picks her up after work, because she always lets Franny put makeup on her and she always look really pretty.
"Doesn't Uncle Mickey look pretty?" She asks, looking up at Ian from her position on the floor.
"Uh," Ian starts.

He looked for his husband the moment he walked in. The living room was empty, so he set the groceries on the table and headed to the bedroom.

Prompt: I dunno if you r up for a Mickey-moving-on prompt? Like when Ian comes to his senses, Mickey is not in jail anymore and nowhere to be found. A few years on, Ian is still desperately trying to find Mickey. One day he earns the chance to lunch with their CEO when he gets promoted. He hears gossips of how much their boss likes to dote on his boyfriend (please emphasise on that) And of coz said boyfriend turns out to be Mickey and Ian sees for himself he has no chance with Mickey anymore.

Summary
Mickey's eyes are big, wide with nothing but hurt. His body sinks in dismay, a deep staggered breath, "You're fuckin' kidding." The words come from deep in his throat, frail sound like a wounded animal.
"Can we just talk for a second—" Ian pleads, unable to stop Mickey from storming past him. His body stiffens with regret, cursing under his breath.

Mickey goes on a brief bender instead of hooking up with Byron.
