As the Clone War arrives to Tann Province and Ryloth, Rala Fortuna (OC) and Hera Syndulla are kindling the beginnings of a friendship that will be tested through a childhood under two wars and beyond, through tangled teenage emotions and into their adulthoods, as each finds her own place amid a galaxy in crisis.
(Written pre-"Ahsoka" series, so any new information we get about Hera's back story or the history of Ryloth/her family in that show or any other work. Made some heavy additions to existing canon to fill out Ryloth, Tann Province, and the world Hera and Rala grew up in!)

Summary
Ahsoka Tano is sent on a mission to the Outer Rim to rescue a clone in hiding. But former Jedi Padawan, Trilla Suduri, and her trusted Purge Trooper are determined to hunt her down and kill her.
A Chiss pilot surveys the Outer Rim with a mission of her own.
All the while, Bail Organa is trying to lead the rebellion with Ahsoka gone, but a new Lieutenant of the Imperial Navy has inquiries of where Organa's loyalty actually lies.
