Summary
Jeong Jihoon looked at the person he loved; the warm light had draped a bright halo over his silhouette, obscuring his face, even though they were face-to-face. He stroked Choi Hyeonjoon's hair - it was a bit oily; Choi Hyeonjoon must have not been washing his hair properly again.
Jihoon brushed the bangs away, brushed them again, squinting, trying to have a better look at the other's face, to see him more clearly. Then he cupped Hyeonjoon's cheeks. "You have to tell me what's going on, okay? I don't need anything more, just one text, to let me know, okay?"

When Choi Hyeonjoon's soft sniffles died down, it was Jeong Jihoon's turn to ask.
"Me?" Choi Hyeonjoon wrapped another hand around their threaded grasp, holding Jihoon's hand in his like a precious treasure. "I wish for Jihoon to always be healthy, and happy, and successful, and achieve everything he ever wants."

The kid smiled, showing full rows of teeth. Behind him, like out of an absurd action movie of old, a giant stingray burst out of the blue surface, as large as a 3-storey building. The splash it caused almost washed Lee Sanghyeok and Choi Hyeonjoon away.
"You see," Moon Hyeonjoon proclaimed grandly, "I'm the Lord of Stingrays."

That was all they said to each other, for the first time in 9 months.

Choi Hyeonjun rolled his eyes. “I don’t care! This is fun!” He dropped Moon Hyeonjoon’s hand and stepped back, tilted his body backwards, and swung his arm around. The rose was tucked neatly in his inside pocket. “Look, I’m the inflatable balloon man!”
Moon Hyeonjoon covered his face with his hands. “Oh my god, you’re crazy. You’re driving me crazy.”

Choi Hyeonjun found himself staring at Moon Hyeonjoon’s face, transfixed by the look in his eyes. He thought, not for the first time, that Moon Hyeonjoon looked like something from a dream.
The younger took a step back and held out his hand. He even bowed a little.
The next sentence was supposed to be said like a joke, but Moon Hyeonjoon’s tone told him it was something heavier than that, something realer.
“Choi Hyeonjun, will you dance with me?”

Lee Sanghyeok asked distractedly, also watching Choi Hyeonjoon’s retreating back, “What, that he’d run away?”
“No, that he’d crashed into the trash can. That specific trash can.”
