The dark circles under his eyes were darker than usual. Ever since he died, Levi had hardly gotten sleep. He spent most of his nights sitting up with several cups of tea or Hange’s company when he hadn’t forced them to sleep. Fingers closing around the brooch, he gripped it tightly and pulled it up to his chest.

~A short fic based on a conversation I had with Castryn about Levi being tired of being in control all the time. So, Hange takes over, but not in a way he was expecting.~
Levi’s brow raised. “As if there’s anyone else qualified to handle them. Besides, four-eyes, Jaeger is my responsibility,” he waved his hand, brushing off their question.
“That’s not what I mean,” they rolled their eyes. “You’re always taking charge. What if…” they shifted, straddling his hips. Now staring down at him, they smiled. “What if you didn’t have to worry about being in charge for a while?”
