Fue un largo camino para llegar hasta aquí, con tantos traidores que tuvieron que ser derrotados, después de la exposición de la ciudadela, muchos maestres fueron decapitados y se necesitó una afluencia de curanderos de Essos para llenar el vacío que quedó, y afortunadamente el reino era más fuerte por ello.
Rhaenyra y Laeonor. El Jinete de Meleys suspiró. Realmente han construido algo maravilloso; incluso con el doloroso fallecimiento de su primo Viserys, Rhaenyra asumió el reto del liderazgo como pez en el agua, o mejor dicho, como un dragón en el cielo.
De hecho, pensó la Princesa mientras se apresuraba hacia el pozo del dragón ahora abierto, los dragones crecían más rápido ya que ahora estaban desencadenados, tenían una buena vida, todos ellos.

Rhaenyra sostuvo la daga en su mano y la bajó al fuego. La sangre chisporroteaba al gotear de la hoja. El fuego lamía su mano, pero no sentía dolor. Los dioses la habían traído de vuelta intacta como señal de sus bendiciones. Rhaenyra observa cómo el calor revela lentamente la profecía grabada en la daga.

Y en un pasillo oscuro, sin nadie que pudiera testificar lo sucedido, el Cubfoot murió.
Su mayor carga finalmente llegó para atormentarlo cuando se cayó por las escaleras y se rompió el cráneo.
