This is shameless self-insert about what would happen if I, a Woman of a Certain Age, shifted into the Potterverse. Full explanation in first chapter. There is absolutely no redeeming value in this fic. Also, fair warning: I think I'm fucking hilarious. Not interested in concrit for this one. Definitely not interested in foolishness. Summary
Dahlia Everdeen. She's the sweetheart of District 12 and uses it to her advantage. She's smart, she's manipulative, and she's proud of it, but when Primrose is reaped, there's no way she can get her out of it. Not unless she or Katniss volunteer. She's been protecting and supporting her family ever since the death of her father, so the only Everdeen going into that arena is her. She's not worried, though. She has an advantage the others in District 12 don't. Not only is she a skilled hunter, but she's been getting advice from the only remaining victor in her District since her first reaping. Dahlia thought she'd just win the Games, and that would be that, but she should've known that was too easy to be true.

Summary
All potions come with a warning. A warning that was taught to Potions Masters only and seemed to be lost over time as less and less Potions Masters seem to remember them. For example, in an ancient book about different versions of Polyjuice Potion, there are numerous side effects and warnings until on the last page, there is one without any.
The one that is usually taught.
Not the one that Hermione found in their second year.
And not the one they actually try.
Had Hermione found the ancient book with the warnings, she wouldn’t have brewed it. But as fate likes to play with the Golden Trio, she didn’t. Otherwise she would have read the following words above the potions.
Not to hide thy visage but showeth thy true one.
And now Harry, Hermione and Ron have to come to terms with what has been done to them. They will find new friends, allies and enemies.
