Summary
“I hate you,” says Andrew. He thinks about the version of Neil in his dreams, the one that slipped beneath his covers with him at Easthaven and slept next to him with two feet of space between their hands. He should have known it was a dream the moment Neil climbed into his bed—nobody gives Andrew his space. Nobody enters his bed and does not immediately press themselves to him as close as possible.

Summary
The noise from the coffee machine peters out as it finishes brewing, the click of the heating implements shutting off loud in the quiet of the house. Andrew pulls away and gives one, two quick parting kisses before he starts to move toward the cabinet with all the mugs.
Neil holds him back, though, his arms still around Andrew. He stares, searches for something in Andrew’s face, then leans in and presses his lips to Andrew’s forehead, just at the hairline.
He freezes, stunned, and Neil has to squeeze his way out of where Andrew pinned him to the counter so he can grab the mugs. Neil doesn’t look back, doesn’t say anything. Just leaves Andrew to process.
Andrew doesn’t know what he’s processing. His thoughts are both disconcertingly silent and screaming so much incomprehensible garbage at him he doesn’t know where to start.
