Summary
Shouta shrugs off the hand keeping his wrists pinned and just signs [Mic?] at which point he hears a sigh that’s usually coming out of him. And it is coming out of him, in a way – Eraserhead himself is crouched there on the ground in front of him, leering down at him with his one remaining eye flitting around as if looking for injuries. Really uncomfortable stuff. Eraser — Yamada — removes the hand from Shouta’s mouth, at least.
“Yeah, I’m you. And you’re me. And I’m not trying to be a Debbie downer, but you might have a concussion, so take it slow.”

Summary
There were many such stories, he had read, where a fisherman would fall in love with a selkie and take her coat so she would forever remain a human. They would marry, then, and likely have children.
"A happy ending," his mother had said with a soft smile, reading to him by his bedside, and quietly snuffed the candle out to tuck him in.
What a cruel thing, he had always thought. To fall in love with something so beautiful and different, only to trap it in a world where it doesn't belong.

Tali supports the turian’s weight as Shepard moves forward, but she can’t hear what she’s saying through the noise — her focus is on Garrus, the blue and silver of his armor charred black and smoking, red spots where the metal is melted and still burning from the proximity to the explosion. It takes all of her willpower to ignore the pain of her own burns and keep him from surging forward to follow Shepard back into the fire.
[Canon timeline-parallel pic from Tali's POV. Currently on hiatus, leaves off near the end of ME2.]

Summary
"Do you remember your old name?" Shep asks, because Snip is only about two years older.
Snip pauses, and the light filters through the faded green dye in her hair, casting color over her face.
"I think it was Alice," she says.
"Do you miss it?"
"No." Snip shrugs, easily moving Shep around to brush her hair. "Alice died in the war."

"Shouta's gonna kill you," Oboro announces. He looks like he just heard someone fart at a funeral.
"Oh yeah, I'm mega dead," Hizashi agrees easily. Deep down, he's always known he'd meet his end without much fuss. When it's time, it's time, ya dig?

Summary
Enji finds him starving in the desert.
Chained, like mere common livestock to a stake and his feathers hanging limp, the brilliant red of them gone dull from this endless sea of sand and sun, of a world that only knows how to take and take and take – never to give in return.
Feral child. Orphan of the skies.
And yet, his eyes still shine when he raises his head.
Gold, catching the light.

Summary
“You’ve been saving yourself for me,” Enji growls. He can barely recognise his own voice.
“No,” Hawks protests hazily. “I really had no time when I was training, and then when I went pro –“ He stops when he glances back and sees Enji’s face. His expression shifts, and without a hitch he continues, “Okay, yeah, I have. Figured it was pointless sleeping around because no one else would be able to compare to the real thing. I’d just spend the whole time thinking of you instead, how good your cock would feel filling me up, burning me up from the inside.”
Endeavor finds out Hawks is a virgin and loses his mind.

Summary
Hawks has a foolproof plan for dealing with the aftermath of Gunga Mountain Villa. It involves 1) not thinking about it, not talking about it and definitely not giving a name to it and 2) ruthlessly abusing any healing wounds until they scar over and go numb.
It would have worked too, if not for -
(After a nightmare, Hawks goes to Endeavor to be taken apart. Endeavor does. Just not in the way Hawks was expecting.)
