Summary

The seas are just too wide for the impossible, and Shanks thinks that maybe he's never really known the impossible anyway.
Luffy bursts into laughter at him, and Shanks is absolutely livid. Truly, Shanks's ego has suffered too much since meeting Luffy, and it's all a dead man's fault.

Summary
He’s jumping to conclusions. He does this to himself a lot. He makes up scenarios in his head for fun and then ends up getting lost in them. Never with the elaborate stories he tells to impress or entertain his friends. Just simpler stuff: the stories that he tells only to himself at night as he’s waiting to fall asleep. In those stories, he's kissed Luffy a couple times — maybe more than a couple times — only because he can’t stop thinking about what rubber lips might feel like. Or sometimes he holds Luffy’s hand, only because Usopp’s never held hands with anyone else before. Or sometimes, on the nights when he feels kind of strange and lonely, he imagines Luffy in the hammock beside him and they curl up into each other—
Usopp cuts himself off because he knows he’s starting to ramble. “None of that means anything, though, does it?” he asks and finally risks a glance at Nami.
She’s smirking.
“Oh crap,” Usopp says.

Usopp watches the expressions on Sanji’s face. He likes watching the obvious emotions go through him like a slideshow, and it's somehow comforting that he can see the exact moment Sanji decides that going along with Luffy will be the easiest choice. So Usopp waits for Sanji to test his own nails, deem them dry enough, unscrew the tiny brush top again, and then he asks if Sanji will do his, too. And because Sanji already has the brush ready, and they’re both right there anyways, Usopp knows he’s going to get what he wants.

“Benn shot half of them because you were drunk.”
“What? How do you know that! Benn, you swore to secrecy!”
“I didn’t tell him Captain.”
“Luffy who told you that?”
Luffy points to the shore. “She did.”
The Ocean’s voice snickers and Luffy mirrors it as the Captain looks between the waters lapping playfully at the shore and the kid with the grin like his captain.
It’s a funny look, the kind men get when they see a tsunami bearing down on their head with no hope of escape. The face goes pale and the eyes go wide, and nothing save for the ocean has quite managed to produce this look.
The Ocean is most definitely pleased with her child.
“Oh hell.” The sailor swears, and she nods her head in agreement.
Oh Hell indeed– but he will bring that and more.

Three months ago, Eren was in a life altering car accident. Out of the precinct for three months left him a bit out of touch with the detective scene, and the new undead additions to his line of sight have left him a little out of touch with life. He could have lost an arm, left paralysed from the waist down or reduced to a vegetable in the hospital, but no...he can just see Casper in his fucking kitchen. After a few weeks to adjust to his new 'sight' Eren starts to think he won't be able to handle this - the death, the sorrow, the loss. He doesn't think he can cope with it alone. That is, until he meets one ghost, a short, grumpy ghost with the kind of detective mind Eren would kill for, and a hankering for some cigarettes.
Apparently the dead can't smoke though, so, huh, who knew?
