Summary
One year after Voldemort killed Lily and James Potter, Severus Snape pays a visit to Number 4 Privet Drive. He has a duty to Lily Evans, the best friend he ever had, and therefore to her son and her sister. He finds himself assuming the role of the child's uncle. As it happens, the friendship between Severus Snape and Petunia Dursley changes both of them, both of their lives, Hogwarts, and their world's future for the better. (It's so much easier to be a good person when you're not clinically depressed, afraid for your family, or stuck in your past trauma).
This is a lengthy story meandering through Harry's childhood, with eventual plans to see it through his Hogwarts years and a very different resolution to canon. But in the meantime, the goal is cuteness and exploring a world with better-adjusted adults in it.

Gellert Grindelwald's story was always twisted to the worst. The Wizarding community only recorded his crimes, his sins, his reign of terror. People always told his story out of resentment, terror, and anger. But now, he's been cut off from the world. No one knows a lot of details about him anymore, except for Albus Dumbledore, who refuses to tell anyone anything. Gellert Grindelwald's true story deserves to be told in a neutral perspective, without exaggerations. It is not saying he was a good man. He was not. But his downfall had more to it. His unknown childhood played a big role in who he'd become afterward. Maybe it's time to uncover his secrets, rather than twisting the truth to make him seem worse than he really was. What was only a myth might have been the truth.
