Sighing, Felix stood from his place by the fire and stretched, coaxing a few pops from his spine. “I’ll go. If he’s human, most likely he’ll run after seeing someone with wings. And if he’s fae, then I’ll threaten to call the sentinels. If that doesn’t send him running with his tail between his legs…” He grinned. “Well. It’s been a long time since I’ve gotten to fuck up someone’s day.”

“You shouldn’t be here.”
The man’s eyebrows furrowed at the sound of his voice like Felix had broken his peace. His head snapped around as he scanned for where the noise had come from, then once he’d found him the stranger slowly sat up from his sprawl on the ground. He tucked one knee beneath an elbow as he turned to face him fully and lifted a hand to remove his sunglasses. He stared over the pond at him, unnervingly still once more.
And said nothing.
OR - The story of Felix meeting (and denying) the love of his life in the most unconventional way, and the tale of a broken demon prince falling head-over-heels for a pixie he absolutely should not want.

Summary
There is a beat of wings he keeps hearing coming by overhead. At first, Felix doesn't think anything of it. The strong flap of wings isn't out of the ordinary, as there are plenty avian-hybrids who live in their village, and it is the first day of spring, so of course they'd be out flying, stretching their wings and warming their feathers the same as everyone else. He thinks it's one of the flocks that lives in their village, until he realizes it's not multiple wings flapping — it's just one, one that seems to be flying back and forth overhead.
A hawk.
There are no hawk-hybrids in their village.
This is a rogue, lone hybrid.
And he's heading right for Felix.
