Summary
Molly Hooper is known for making some of the best baked goods in all of England, and no one knows what her secret is. Her most popular dish is her Jam Tartlets, and it’s a recipe she shares with absolutely no one, not even those who work in her shop. When a new resident arrives in the village, an apiarist named Sherlock Holmes, they begin an exchange: some of her special jams in exchange for his honey. But what starts as a simple trade of sweet foodstuffs becomes so much more when Molly’s shop is broken into and ransacked by someone looking for the secret recipe.

She tells her PA Sherlock that she has certain criteria she wants met for any potential date, as well as a photograph and references from three women before she’ll even consider them. She’s quite surprised, then, when she only has one file to consider a week later, and even more surprised to see who it is.

Summary
Sherlock Holmes has known Molly Hooper a lot longer than she's known him. An auto accident makes him question his choices and the secrets he's been keeping for nearly 25 years.
"Do you know how long I've known Molly, John?" he asked his friend, looking for something- anything to make the time go faster.
"No, actually, I don't. I always assumed that you two met at Barts," John said, putting down the fishing magazine he'd been thumbing through and giving Sherlock his full attention.
"Technically, yes. That's when we met, but I've known her for far longer."
"How do you mean?"
"When I was fifteen I read in the local paper about a body that had been found in a culvert a few towns over. The death was ruled a suicide, but I knew instantly it was murder," Sherlock explained.
"You were fifteen and you figured that out from a newspaper article?"
"It was obvious, John. Anyway, I took the bus to, Reigate, the town where it had happened and found the victim's family. The woman was married, one daughter. Molly."
